Mr. Speaker, Late last Friday, it was announced that the public would finally be allowed back into our building to fully participate in the legislative process in person. However, the rules and requirements established are so complex and convoluted that this building will remain effectively closed to most of the public. No similar draconian rules

I’m still fighting to get my colleagues to debate Gov. Steve Sisolak’s Declaration of Emergency & vote on whether it’s time to terminate it. Here’s my floor statement today…

On the one-year anniversary of the #SisolakShutdown, I’m calling on Gov. Sisolak to reopen Nevada – just like other states – and let us get back to our jobs, businesses, schools & churches. Now. After 365 days to “slow the spread,” I went back on the Assembly floor this morning to again call for an end to the #SisolakShutdown. “The best possible economic stimulus is to let Nevadans go back to work and provide for their families.”

We need to get back up.  We need to keep fighting.  Because that’s the Nevada Way.
