(Annie Black) – Have you heard about “Critical Race Theory” (CRT)?
Most people these days have, but don’t know much about it. So here’s Christopher Rufo of the conservative Heritage Foundation with a short explanation…
“Critical race theory is an ideology which maintains that the United States is a fundamentally racist country and that American institutions such as the Constitution, property rights, color blindness, and equal protection under the law are vestiges of white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalist oppression – all of which must be overthrown in the name of ‘antiracism.’”
In short, it’s an Orwellian rewrite of American history. It’s a lie. A BIG LIE.
CRT is nothing but a political campaign designed to divide Americans by race and keep minority voters from leaving what some black conservatives call the “Democrat plantation.” It’s the kind of racist rhetoric and propaganda that would make the KKK blush.
What’s worse, it’s government-sanctioned racism being taught to our children in government-run schools all across the country – essentially forcing our kids into indoctrination re-education camps.
And the nation’s largest teachers’ union, the NEA, is 100% in support. From a Freedom Foundation report last week…
“In early July, more than 5,000 teachers across the country signed a pledge to continue teaching the intentionally divisive curriculum to their students even if they work in one of the 21 states currently developing legislation to ban it.”
Of course, now that this disgusting, anti-America curriculum has been “outed,” the racial arsonists who make a living from fanning the flames of racial hatred in this country will find a new name for it.
Sorry, but there’s just no way to pick up a turd by the clean end. And I’m going to fight Critical Race Theory – regardless of what they call it – with every fiber of my being.
In fact, if I return to the Legislature next year, I intend to add Nevada to the list of states introducing legislation to ban this venom from being taught in our schools to our children.
You know me. I’ll do it.
I’m not afraid of those people in Carson City. They can call me names and keep trying to slime my reputation. But I won’t lie down. I’ll fight back. And as Democrat strategist James Carville once said…
“It’s hard for somebody to hit you when you’ve got your fist in their face.”
But here’s a reality check: The Democrats who support CRT currently control the Legislature – and they’re already gunning for me.
