(Annie Black) – Well, Gov. Sisolak announced Thursday evening that he’s still not yet prepared to loosen his stranglehold on Nevada’s economy or release us from house arrest. Maybe another two weeks. Maybe a month. Maybe…who knows?
We know. The time to begin the process of rebuilding our economy, restarting our businesses and regaining our lives and individual liberties is…NOW.
So please join me tomorrow for another protest/rally to demonstrate to the Governor that we’re mad as heck and aren’t going to take it any longer.
Since things are really heating up – literally and figuratively – we’re going to kick off a little earlier in the morning this time. Meet up at 9:00 a.m. at the Sun Valley Plaza shopping center located at 561 Mesquite Blvd.
But be warned…
I’m told that during a tele-town hall with Rep. Steven Horford earlier this week that someone complained about our rally last weekend.
And someone on the call reportedly said that if we try to do this “Morning in Mesquite” rally tomorrow they were going to call the police and have us shut down. I hope that’s not the case.
The Constitution says free speech and the right to petition our government peacefully is not to be infringed. So I’m not going to let this threat stop us from doing so. I hope you’ll join me!
And if you missed the “Liberate Mesquite” protest rally last weekend, here’s a short little 5-minute video, including some interviews with participants expressing their thoughts on the #SisolakShutdown.
See you tomorrow!
