(Annie Black | May 4, 2020) – We had another great rally/caravan and great turnout for our “Morning in Mesquite” protest on Saturday.
Thanks, again, to everyone – well, almost everyone, but I’ll get to that in a minute – who came out and said it’s time to end the #SisolakShutdown, let us leave our homes and begin the process of safely allowing our businesses to reopen.
Here’s a short, 30-second video of our rallying cry: “Let’s get this country back to work!”

Now, about The Invisible Man…
Throughout the #SisolakShutdown, our District 19 assemblyman, Chris Edwards, has been missing in action. No one’s seen him. No one’s heard from him. Other than a couple of tweets mimicking what I’ve been saying about this all along.
But suddenly…out of the blue…there he was!
Of course, he didn’t participate in the caravan itself. He showed up AFTER the caravan returned. Which was fine. We were just happy to finally see him in person.
I was starting to think maybe he was hanging out with Kim Jung Un!
But here’s the sneaky little thing he did…
As we were cleaning up the BBQ area, Chris snapped a photo. And then posted the following on his Twitter feed…
“Good morning with patriotic folks in Mesquite rallying to get the city businesses open. Many businesses have been struggling. City sent GOV Sisolak their reopening plan. Well done Mesquite!”
Unbelievable. He made it seem like it was HIS rally!
No wonder no one trusts this guy.
But here’s the thing…
Chris showed up. He mingled with the crowd. He did not wear a mask. And he didn’t abide by social distancing guidelines.
So he has absolutely no excuse for not doing a one-on-one debate with me.
Heck, we can do it in the same parking lot. This Saturday. 10:00 a.m. I’ll bring the loudspeakers, hot dogs and bottled water again. All Chris has to do is show up, defend his record and answer questions from you, the voters of District 19.
