Sisolak’s Weakness Has Deadly Consequences

(Annie Black) – President Donald Trump said today…

“Weakness will never beat anarchists, looters or thugs.”

If only Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak understood that.

Riots, mayhem, looting, fires, property destruction and violence have been going on in Nevada for the last several days as our governor sat back and refused to take the strong action necessary to stop it.

Now a Las Vegas police officer is clinging to life after being shot in the back of the head, execution-style, at a so-called “peaceful protest” on the Las Vegas Strip last night.

In response, Gov. Sisolak finally put out a weak statement this afternoon that read, in part…

“(D)uring these trying times we must remind ourselves that creating a state where justice and peace exist together in partnership, not as a binary choice, is the goal we must all work toward.  I am committed to doing all I can.”

But he hasn’t.  The peace has been broken over and over again.  And now a law enforcement officer may tragically and needlessly lose his life.

What the governor should have done – and STILL should do – is what Las Vegas City Councilman and former Metro police lieutenant Stavros Anthony called for this morning…

“This has to stop today. Violent thugs do not control our community. Implement a curfew. Call out the national guard, police need help. Arrest all violent rioters immediately. No bail. Law and order.”

What he said.
